THE NEST OF THE TURTLE is a delightful casita which is perfect for small families, especially if they have young children. It has a gracious master bedroom, a delightful bunk room, a complete kitchen, and a distinctive bathroom! The pool is just outside your door. YOU WILL JUST LOVE IT!
The space
Guests who have stayed in the NIDO say it is one of the most comfortable and distinctive places they have ever visited.
It is part of a complex called Villa de Vista, which has 3 separate and complete houses — The Big House, El NIDO, and the Casita Celestial.
The NIDO is cozy. Each room is distinctive. The sitting area has a sofa and a couple of chairs and a bar where you can sit and have breakfast or talk to the persons who are working in the kitchen. There is a table with an umbrella right outside the entrance; that’s a great place to set up your computer or to eat your meals. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed in a very gracious setting. The bunk room features a bunk bed that resembles a tree house. The bath, well the bath …. with its dual showers, its onyx sink, and its crustacean marble walls …. the bath will blow you away because it is so unusual. The NIDO has stunning Mexican arts and crafts.
It is nestled under the The Big House and located on the pool deck, just a few steps away from the pool, which was designed to be safe and enjoyable for children of all ages — infants have a deck where they can sit and splash to their delight, toddlers have a bench on which they can walk and jump into the arms of their parents, adolescents and adults have areas for sunning, reading, sleeping, or sipping a Margarita.
We have also recently made some upgrades to the property. This includes adding a generator, in case of power outages. We now have 2 different wifi services (fiber and Starlink satellite) and a switch that will toggle between them if 1 goes down. We also have an expansive mesh wifi network ensures the entire property with fast wifi. You are guaranteed to have power and internet connectivity.

Guest access
Guests will enter the NIDO by walking down a set of stairs to the sliding glass doors which is the entrance to the Nido. It is on the pool level. The pool is shared with other guests.
Other things to note
ONE LAST THING — LOCATION. We are far enough away from the center of town that we rarely hear the noise of parties. We think our location is ideal.
For the energetic, there is a wonderful walk to the center of town along the beach.
(El Nido has VERY limited availability as we rarely rent this adorable unit on its own. Please reach out if you are interested but the price seems off. We will let you know if it’s available during your vacation time. Also, feel free to look at the Casita, it is available more often.)
